Welcome to my little writing hollow...
One day, on a walk through the woods behind your house, you happen upon a path you’ve never seen before. Following it, you are are led into a clearing with two large trees and a comfortable but complex interior. Pages and scrolls line the walls, and fruits light up the intertwined rooms. This place was grown from imagination.
About This Hollow...
ㅤIn this hollow, you can find poems, stories, and wildlife from various nooks of my imagination. This hollow serves as a collection of all my creative written work and some essays. Please explore it to your heart’s content! You may find a hidden nook somewhere… In the hollow you can find artwork that may compliment my stories and poetry. You can expect a mix of science, fantasy, math, mystery, and speculative biology.
ㅤMy fantasy world, ᛟtreō (oh-TrrEH-oh)(commonly spelled Otreo), comprises many works in here. As an early medieval hollow planet, the stories take place as kingdoms begin to rise and the power of nations becomes accessible for the first time. Three races were tasked long ago to maintain the good across the world in order to hold evil inside, but when creatures start crawling out of the planet whose words will they question? Any work marked with an Othala (ᛟ) is a part of ᛟtreō’s world. Many things connect, many things do not. See what you can find! I’d encourage you to check out my ongoing novel, Cordially, The Hunchback Detectives.
ㅤWhile ᛟtreō is a primary work, I have much more. I’d highly suggest my latest short story, Pit, as a modern era fiction piece with a supernatural twist. If you are looking for poems that mashes STEM concepts with poetry, I’d suggest Calculating Sins, Amazingly, or Entropy

My Writing
Philosophy
As a Christian, my beliefs are grown into many of the stories I write. ᛟtreō itself has many, many aspects based on the battle of good and evil between God and Lucifer. This is not to say, however, that every story will end in a Christian plea for repentance, but rather I hope to leave my readers with curiousity and questions in regards to these complex topics.
I have found that Wonder is an incredible gift from God and a great mystery to me personally. I write to explore wonder, and I write to inspire wonder in others. I hope that through wonder many people will question what they thought they knew, as questioning constantly is how we refine our view of the world.
ㅤI write fantasy to show a small portion of the creativity required to create our world. I draw and design life to admire the variety and impossibility of the creatures our world was given. I write poetry to explore the amazing intricacies and mysteries of language and music. I love what God has given me the imagination for, and I want to share it with you.
Substack
You may have noticed that I am trying out something called Substack. Its a unique form of social media where the posts get sent out as email newsletters to all the subscribers. This works great for the type of writing I do: longer length short stories or novel chapters. I also plan on starting off the newsletters with a short section on what I am working on before leading into the story, chapter or poem that the email is sent for. This will give my subscribers my most up-to-date work and thoughts, as this website will be updated less often than the Substack since I can import the Substack directly to the website automatically. I promise you, I will not send too many emails, nor will I waste your time with the contents of such messages. Thank you!
C.S. Lewis once wrote...
There is something ludicrous in the idea of so educating a generation which is born to…the atomic bomb. Since it is so likely that they will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise you are making their destiny not brighter but darker. Nor do most of us find that violence and bloodshed, in a story, produce any haunting dread in the minds of children… Let there be wicked kings and beheadings, battles and dungeons, giants and dragons, and let villains be soundly killed at the end of the book.
