an acknowledgement of all the worms i have ever mucked
i am walking
down the sidewalk
hide worldly worms
everywhere in shadow
silky rainfalls
draw out
drowning worms
squirm to my sneakers
trying to hopscotch them
but i fail often
inevitably
worms will
be mucked
by my blind path
between behemoths
not safest for you
the concrete is
my walk
will muck
both of us
agree that its my fault
as i step forward
destroying approaching
seemingly avoidable
death to life
at least
i am walking
